Software Engineer

Job Description

TechNova is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for building scalable web applications, designing robust APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that serve millions of users across Africa.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Node.js, or similar)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database design (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
